[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Spend time with my family.

2. Read.

3. Take peaceful drives and enjoy the scenery, and collect my thoughts.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Children – I enjoy all children but bond especially with those between 10 and 15. I used to teach middle school before becoming an administrator and loved this age group.

I also receive a sense of peace from talking with and encouraging those who have a troubled heart or battle addiction, anxiety, or mental health issues. I have had close family who have dealt with these issues and I am strongly called to help others in this kind of distress.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I just want to volunteer in a helpful way.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in a Christian household and have always felt the presence of God in my life, especially in my most troubling times.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Completing college in four years, as a young parent juggling many responsibilities.

Becoming a teacher, and later an administrator.

Moving to a new state based on a leap of faith at the age of 33, after living in a the same extremely rural community for my entire life. It led me to know that there was so much more in the world than what I was aware of.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

A very tumultuous first marriage, which ended on less than amicable terms. I learned to be patient and forgiving, even of those who had greatly aggrieved me.

My oldest son’s ongoing struggle with substance addiction and severe behavioral issues. This has led me to be forgiving, much less judgmental of others, and empathetic.

Sometimes difficult dynamics that exist in my family with my siblings and parents. This also leads me to be forgiving and patient, and an empathetic listener with others experiencing similar.
