Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Raised in a Christian home and always at church. Accepted that Jesus died for me and my sins and was baptized in the spring, 1957. Very active in youth activities but strayed during college. A relationship with God and church membership became important, filling a hole/void, in late 70s and grew as became a parent.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Lakeview Baptist, Camden – church clerk, chair of church revitalization committee, member of media library team, GA and youth missions leader

First Baptist Camden – Assistant to youth minister in Sunday School and Discipleship Training; Women on Mission Coordinator; Social Services, Student Aid, and Constitution & Bylaws Committees; Sunday School secretary; VBS records

Camden community – CCM volunteer, President (twice), and Treasurer; member and Chair of IMPACT; member at various times of United Way care counsels; member and chair of New Day on Mill advisory board; organized first KBA home repairs weekend.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Parenting two daughters with different personalities but similar hearts

Interviewing clients at CCM

Observing my parents serve and give in their church and in their community with no desire for recognition

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Having my offer to serve as volunteer office manager at CCM be rejected – taught be that I didn’t do a good job of casting a vision which helped me see the difference between leadership and administration.

Broke my ankle and was homebound for over 3 months – showed me and our family the importance of caring friends and acquaintances who blessed us continually.

Attempted to mentor two different ladies, helping them financially then seeing them make “bad” choices – taught me to be cautious, less controlling, but also less involved so that I don’t take reactions/results personally.

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Help our church “clean up” its organization structure then reflect it in the Consitution, Bylaws, Policies, and Procedures
