Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
My parents were divorced when I was young, which led my mom to find a local church that we became very involved in. I was surrounded by incredible mentors who helped to guide me and teach me what it means to be in a relationship with Jesus Christ. I was involved in many of the ministry programs that the church offered and always wanted more. I accepted Christ in 5th grade through a Bible study program called small groups for kids.
South Park Church in Park Ridge, IL
I spent most of my high school and some of college years volunteering in various areas- mainly children’s and youth ministry (small groups, sunday school, youth groups, vbs, etc.)
When I think back on the way my faith, and my life, has been shaped, I don’t know that I can pinpoint 3 specific things. Rather, I think of the community I was surrounded by and the influence it had on my life. I have had incredible, Godly women who have taught me, lead me, guided me, and loved me so well. They are responsible for much of my growth and development. I have also been blessed to have the same group of close friends, that I met through church, since a young age. I feel so thankful to have had those people and those experiences.
My parents got divorced when I was young due to my dad’s drug and alcohol addiction. As a child, I witnessed various kinds of abuse and a watched my mom struggle as a single parent until she remarried. I think this gives me an ability to relate to people who have gone through the same thing or are in the midst of these struggles. I also went to a very liberal high school where, being a Christian, I was the minority. At first this was really difficult for me. I poured myself even more into the church and this helped me to critically think about what I truly believed and be able to talk about this and be okay with others not agreeing with me.
