[E]xperience

I had a long period of illness including hospitalization, i was encourage by a friend to make Christ the center of my life so while recuperating i started attending church regularly. For awhile, i moved from church to church and finally found myself in a home based bible study group. Studying and discussing the scriptures was exciting. I felt new hope and purpose for my life … i started attending TLC, Life Group study easily pulls you into a family and my desire for God and his offerings grew stronger. I was baptized and am now a firm believer

I met Rivi Gardner in my late teens, although the age difference was only 8 years he became my mentor, through him i learnt how to give back, how to take care of the needs of others less fortunate, how to encourage others through their struggles. He changed my life.

My time at Sugar Industry Housing working alongside social scientists exposed me to the simple life of poor country folks, usually large families surviving on very little they serve God, and educate their children. They live only for the improvement they were making in the life of their next generation. That change my perspective of how to give.

Living in the 70’s and early 80’s and embracing a communist philosophy was for me the best i have seen of our people. We made sacrifice, we were concerned for each other, serving brought great joy. I learnt how to respect our women, senior citizens, and love and respect for my fellow human beings.

The sudden and unexpected death of my father at age 12 years
