1. I love the women in my life. I have quite the herd of women I’m blessed to call sisters in Christ, and I love knowing them more and helping them know God more.
2. I love the church. I love seeing a church flourish and helping people engage in the church body.
3. I love art and music. I love getting to connect with people over those things.
I love working with women because I am a woman. Specifically women my age or younger.
Oh man. What a topic for such a small box. I think the overwhelming theme is that the truth of God’s word is what matters most. That we love God, love others, and make disciples.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I started going to church in high school, and slowly understood what Jesus had done for me. By the time I was 17, I’d realized I wasn’t who I was anymore, and that I wanted to live my life for him. Since then, it’s been a process of loving God, loving people, and learning to be more like him every day.
Twin Lakes Camp, Hillsboro IN, Counselor in Training, 2 years (2009-2010)
Mission Point, Winona Lake IN, Greeter, 4 years (2010-2014)
Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, Winona Lake IN, 6 years (2015-2021)
Attending the church I “grew up” in/ my best friend and her family. They were really the people who taught me about Christ and what it meant to be a Christian.
Working at Twin Lakes Camp. It just really pushed me into who I am today and gifted me with really solid friends. Those experiences are indispensable.
Attending and serving at Grace College. I was on leadership each year, which really shaped my love for helping women seek who Christ is and who they are.
Working in a homeless shelter. It is a great need and a wonderful ministry, but I was constantly burnt out. There were just a lot of incredibly hard situations there that felt endless.
Just in general, legalism. I’ve had a lot of unlearning to do from people who are very lazy Christians. Because for them it’s not about who God is, it’s about how you appear.
I would also say in general, ministry has really hard and ugly parts at times. I love being able to serve God and serve the church, just people are complicated and can be incredibly selfish.
