[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I have a hunger and thirst for knowledge and understanding of the Word. I enjoy studying the word in a variety of ways and asking questions about what I discover.

2. Serving others– assisting them with small works to help make their jobs easier so they can focus on more vital tasks.

3. Expressing myself through creative things, such as art and writing.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Leaders– I enjoy working alongside adults as I feel I can gain wisdom and learn through them. I view every interaction as a learning experience that will be beneficial to me in the future.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I have seen many churches stray away from Biblical teachings and doctrines to accommodate and affirm the feelings of others. I strongly disagree with churches watering down the Word, or avoiding verses, to coddling their members because they fear of causing discomfort from what the Bible says.
Another is that churches tend to focus on activities or events to draw in a crowd, which is not inherently bad itself, but they seem to put Christ completely on the back burner and succumb to secular nature to draw in people. The church should not have to resort to these methods to draw people in. We are still to sow love and compassion, and we can still do that without having to succumb to the secular nature of the world that can draw us Christian further away from Christ would wish for us to do, as he never changed his ways to draw in people.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in a Christian household and church, but I never devoted my faith until I suffered through a series of events that encouraged me to look some where else for my foundation since the one I was standing on was crumbling beneath me.
In Christ I found my foundation. God lead me closer to Him through the example of the community surrounding me. I found my strength and purpose in Him and I wish to give glory to Him, and serve Him –doing His will– for the rest of my days on this earth.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I served at Scottsdale Bible Church for nine year, doing various different forms of service, but my long standing one was doing tech for the kids ministry.

I currently serve at Marvin Methodist as a member of the student committee, a Lay minister and a co-leader of a Bible study– maybe soon to be a leader of a girls Bible study.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Serving in the church and Christ centered communities.

Finding role-models within the church to look up to and learn from.

God guiding me out of a toxic family relationship.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My bio-parents divorce, and the time in-between my mom and step-dad’s split.

Members of my family treating me in a toxic manner resulting in major anxiety.

My fathers drug abuse and other members of my family suffering from other forms of addiction.
