S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Katie Payne for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

[H]eart
1. Think of ways to help a person and then to do it.
2. I love giving…when I see that someone has a financial need, I really enjoy getting to give them money. Also, I really enjoy trying to think of what a person might like and then buy that for them…like for one of my friends, a family member, one of my kids teachers, etc…I also like budgeting, haha, which helps me be able to give.
3. I like spending time one on one with people. I like trying to be encouraging and to be a good friend.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
when I was 4 years old, I became a christian. I started to really have a relationship with the Lord and follow him in high school.
5th grade girls small group leader for a few years(some time in the 2000’s) at cypress creek church
-Missionary to an indigenous group in Brazil for 3 years. 2007-2010 i think. Helped record a set of oral Bible stories in an indigenous language.
When I was in high school, a college student mentored me in my faith. Seeing how much she loved God was so inspirational to me.
A mom’s Bible study, similar to MOPS, at my previous church in Katy, TX was really encouraging to me in my faith, parenting and marriage. The women who lead the groups were farther along in life and had some great wisdom and encouragement for us younger moms.
A women from my previous church mentored me one on one for a few years and that was really great to learn from her wisdom about life, God, etc.
When I was in high school/college, i lost 4 family members in just a few years, from various things like cancer, a helicopter crash, old age. It was really hard, but I feel so much compassion for people who lose loved ones.
While growing up, I went to many different schools, and I’m not complaining about that, but I definitely felt like an outsider sometimes. I think that this experience gives me compassion for people who feel left out.
