Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Acceptance and feeling loved were like my mission in life. I tried to achieve it in my own ways but ended up broken and hurt. Then Christ came knocking on my door, He told me I am accepted and loved. God\’s love and acceptance are demonstrated by Christ being crucified on the cross. So I decided I wanted to follow Him and wanted to know Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Lifegate – pastoral care ministry, life group bible study facilitator, worship and welcoming, camp committee, helping out in activities for outreach events

MCBC – life group leaders, core team member, worship, camp committee, women ministry

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

How God has changed me through the help of others, knowing Him more through my ups and my downs.

The love and support of other Christians has really shaped the way I interact with people around me.

Having a mentor in my early stage in my Christian journey was a great blessing to me and I’d like to become a blessing of others as well.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I can only think of 2 experiences.

One of the negative experiences was being burnout by taking too much responsibilities many years back. On reason was FOMO, trying to build my sense of worth based on others’ acceptance and their praises. Rather than being freed in Christ I was enslaved by my own fear, constantly overwhelmed by anxiety, worry and doubts. But I thank God who worked in me through these moments, gradually I realised that I didn’t need to “build” my self-worth on people’s approval, but by Christ’s dying on the cross I am made worthy in the sight of God.

I guess this helps me relate to those who struggle with similar issue and my hope is that I can encourage them by reminding them of who they are in Christ.

I remember when I started attending my previous church’s Sunday service, I felt extremely awkward when there’s hardly anyone who’d want to talk to me, and it lasted for 2 months! I felt really angry at the start, but then during a sermon one Sunday I heard this verse “Jesus came to serve, not to be served”, it caught my attention and I thought perhaps I can be the first to reach out to them, simply because of what Christ has done for us!

I kinda know how it feels of being a “newbie”, hoping to be welcomed in a new and strange place. Not really a big thing but whenever I can I’d reach out to new comers.
