S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Jena Farid for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am extroverted and genuine- its easy for me to make connections with others from every walk. I have a history of compassion and empathy for “the underdog” and have desired for as long as I have been able to work and volunteer to help others who are hurting. Hurt people, hurt people and God can restore anyone who places their faith in Him. I enjoy using my education as a Marriage and Family Therapist to encourage others.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am unsure about this one as it is intimidating to me- however- I have continually shared my story and my belief in the Gospel with people and in situations where only God could of constructed. He has used me my whole life, but I still feel very intimidated to call what happens with it all formally “evangelism”. I am very willing to be used by Him in what others may feel are awkward situations, and sometimes seek it out.

#3 Gift, Teaching (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I don’t feel I have this gift, but somehow I have been in this role in some way shape or form over the last 10 years. I lack patience and feel overwhelmed in this area over the last year. I feel like I was a lot stronger pre 2020.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Create- home projects, art, etc

2. Relate/hospitality- I love to visit with friends and throw big parties for people to have fun together. We love having people over to stay with us.

3. Dance/music- I love to dance and listen to music. I feel the most joy/relief from anxiety on a dance floor. I enjoy praising God and worshiping Him.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Women 20’s-30’s. When I was working, I was surprised to find that I really enjoyed my women clients who struggled with trauma and addiction.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I would love to be trained as a biblical counselor and serve others with this training. If my story/testimony can help others I would enjoy learning to lead groups. I would love to give my creative energy to the church (not sure how yet) I am concerned of messing something up or letting someone down. I want to walk in His will but often feel too broken to be what He might be calling me to be.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
