[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Exploring knowledge about God’s kingdom. Studying, discovering new things from history in which past generations have encountered God. Being part of the human race, from the beginning of time. Learning, discovering, hearing their voices through the ages, hearing God’s truth and message through the ages.

2. Taking this understanding and applying it in this day and age. Understanding and discerning ancient wisdom in today’s context.

3. Discussing and sharing these thoughts, theories. Sharing, Learning, Discussing…turning the gem with like minded seekers.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Women – I don’t relate well to men. I have no idea well. I just don’t.
Women my age, like me, with similar outlook and challenges. People who challenge me, who take my thoughts, theories, questions and discuss and philosophise with me.
Mel, Emma, Gemma… Thinkers, intelligent seekers.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I love the social justice side of things. A21 – child abuse. Things that make a real impact on social injustice, ministries that tangibly make a difference in the lives of children. The Gentle Hands ministry. The A21 ministry.
I want to write, share, teach (not in person, through writing) mobilise, work towards real tangible change.
I love to see God’s kingdom at work, really making in-roads in tackling child abuse, sex-trafficking and the like. I want to be part of a social change, bringing about social awareness and mobilising the people of my generation to stand against the evils of today.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Having grown up going to church with a Christian mother, I had a gentle but profound experience of Christ, or perhaps the Holy Spirit one day in church when I was about 11 or 12. I just felt the Spirit move within me, I felt my heart shatter into pieces and I felt the Spirit of God fill me physically, in a sensation of Peace and complete understanding that God was God, Jesus was his son, and the Spirit of God was alive and active, moving all around me, and in me.
I have felt that ever since, without fail, despite any struggles or doubts, I have never doubted that I experienced, or met, or encountered the living God.
