Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. For the last 18 years I have planned and led a group or young men of all ages on a dual-sport motorcycle journey through the Sierra Nevada mountains and Death Valley National Park in two separate events each year.
Due to Covid-19 and my health issues I am passing on the torch of adventure.

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in a Protestant Church through my college years, sang in the church & school choir. Enjoyed all the church activities & classes for many years.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Attended group with ACoA. Adult Children of Alcoholic Parents

Did a practice where I did not speak for a week. Enlightening, to say the least.
Camping in the desert in the late 60’s and doing a walk-about, what I called walking with God. Amazing! Have been going back for the last 40 years.

My mother taught me about unconditional love before she died.
When I stopped judging my mother and quit trying to change her, discovering that I was the one that needed to change. At that moment I understood that I was the problem or cause, and when I changed, my whole world changed.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Spending two years in the Marine Corps in the early 60’s. Manny lessons.

Grew up in a household with alcoholic parents, which seemed to be the norm with the post WW2 generation.

My father dying when I was 15 years old.
