Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I came to know the Jesus when I was a teenager, when my life is going spiral, I thought I was in control of my life. So, one of our youth leader share to me what Jesus did on the cross so I can have hope in this crazy and competitive world. I gave my life to him after that.
Back in the Philippines as youth leader – Lucena Baptist church (4 years).
New York/New Jersey – Grace Christian Fellowship (1 1/2 year, young adult ministry, we were in transition to move to Chicago).
Rockford, Illinois – Assistant Pastor, River Chapel Church (2 yrs).
Orlando, Florida – Life Connection Church – Youth/Associate Pastor (6-7 years).
Currently – Church Planting in Orlando, Florida and pastoring D2 Community Church.
My conversion. It click and made sense to me how I went through things and realized there is more to life than how I see it.
My dad being away (for work purposes) until I’m old enough to get married. It wasn’t easy but I would’t change anything in the world. It showed me how good, wait…great of a Father he is (God) and my physical father.
My Marriage. I got married and had kids at a young age but I love it. It thought how not to focus on my self. I learned what sacrifice really meant, and what LOVE looks like!!!
Not having my dad around cause me to wonder and I really think I hurt a lot of people in the process.
Part 2 – I made bad, bad decision about girls and their real value.
Part 3 – Made poor choices and possibly lost some important time in my life, school, relationship, etc.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. 1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. Mission to my home land (Philippines) and other countries.
4. Spend more time with marginalized people in my community.
5. Teaching, mentoring others to grow in the hope we have in Jesus.
