Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in church but my parents didn’t attend. At the age of 13 I attended a church service that was geared to my age. I felt so guilty for my sins and accepted Christ at that service and asked Him to forgive my sins. I did not have a mentor so my growth was erratic and slow for many years.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Church leadership: Church in the Wildwood Church of the Nazarene, Cocoa, Fl. Board Secretary. SS Teacher, Youth Leader. 12 years

Cross Bridge Church, Rockledge, Florida: Volunteer Janitor 6 years, Board Member 2 years, Mentally Challenged Ministry Leader 2 years, Health and Nutrition Ministry Leader 1 year and current, Small Group assistant leader 1 year and current.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Our Pastor has a gift for encouraging spiritual disciplines and growth. This has had a big impact on my life and the life of my family.

God healed me radically through Prayer, exercise and nutrition. I have learned to love others more and have a desire to share what he has done for me.

My husband has drawn closer to God through a crisis and it has had a very positive impact on our relationship.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My illness had me in a wheelchair for 7 years and ill for 9 years total. God used this to humble me and teach me my part in a healthy, holy life. It helped me to have compassion on others and a passion for helping others heal like I did.

The failures I have had as a parent have humbled me as well and it has helped me to learn to keep my mouth shut more often and not to judge others.

My daughter Susie was born with Down’s syndrome. We have had many trials with her. I have learned (finally) to be more compassionate with her even when she is causing me discomfort. Realizing that she is probably in more pain than I am.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. I would help get the word out about how God can heal our bodies and minds with real food and a healthy lifestyle.

4. I would teach mentally challenged people about nutrition and exercise with God’s help.

5. I would start a knitting and crocheting ministry to develop relationships and teach what God has taught me about healthy living.
