My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in the Moravian church, started youth group in third grade and accepted Jesus as my savior at 13 years old.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Served as an intern at Christ Church in Greensboro, NC from 1991-1995.

Director of Youth & Recreation Ministries, Annandale UMC in Annandale, VA from 1998-2000.

Director of Youth Ministries, Centreville UMC, Centreville, VA, 2000-2003.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Mission trips as both a youth & adult.

Going to camp as a child and working at camps as an adult.

Leading worship (singing/playing guitar) for hundreds of people as a student & young adult.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Having to deal with an adult volunteer that was a sexual predator & seeing the church’s response & struggling to reconcile that with my response.

Dealing with pastoral dishonesty and betrayal.

Dealing with a youth leader who was destructive in the ministry.
