Thank you Rachelle Kearney for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Mercy Showing (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I know that I am not a perfect person, and that God has given me grace….so I feel that I am very accepting and understanding when it comes to other people! I love people, and love to see them succeed, so I am very encouraging. I also feel that my family has shaped this into my heart by my upbringing, so it comes naturally to me. Being raised in a Christian home, and having loving grandparents who also love God and love to serve others, has definitely had an impact on shaping me into who I am today! God has blessed me with the wonderful family I was born into, and they have been an encouragement to me every step along the way. I was always taught to look out for the needs of others, no matter how big or small – and that little things can make a world of difference. ๐Ÿ™‚

#2 Gift, Evangelism (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
My heart is with people. Especially those who are broken, feel like mis-fits, or that they just don’t belong. I like to show them their worth and encourage them along the way, and show them that God loves them. I’m not the type of person to be a “bible-beater”, but I try to live my life according to the way Jesus has blessed me…..and my motto is to try to be “Jesus with skin on”, so that they can come to love Him through my words and actions. Knowing there are so many people with such varying needs gives me motivation to want to go out and make more of a difference, in a small way, as often as possible. From just being kind to others, treating people with compassion, or leading them to the Lord….each and every day, in each and every way!

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am a very optimistic person, and see a person’s potential. I enjoy listening to other people and allowing them to “vent” when they are struggling, and just to be there for them. Not necessarily finding a solution for their problem, but allowing them to get it off their chest and just to know that someone cares. I am very empathetic and am able to feel things I’ve never experienced, and can place myself into another person’s shoes, just by hearing about something. I have been surrounded by positivity and encouragers throughout my life, and am blessed to say this! I’ve always been taught to go out and be a blessing, so honestly – I don’t know any other way!

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Spend time with my family – regardless of what we are doing

2. Taking prayer walks with my yellow lab and just talking to GOD!!!

3. Helping people with their struggles

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with children who are in poverty, who come from little to nothing, and showing them how valuable they truly are!

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Excite – outreach opportunities! I love going out into the community with purpose, where we are trying to make a positive impact on those who need it the most!

Concern – It concerns me when I see people come into church and sit off by themselves, maybe never meeting anyone – or being welcomed, and sometimes getting up in the middle of the service and leaving.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was born into a Christian household, and was raised in a loving Christian home – surrounded by many Christians (also a PK – pastor’s kid), so it was instilled in me. I asked Jesus into my heart at a very young age, and have always had a relationship with our Lord. Sometimes drifted, but not too far – usually pretty solid!

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Ministered as a Special Ed Teacher for 15 years – in Iowa for 11, and Phoenix for 4!

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My relationship with my grandmother who is now 84 years old. Her and I have always been close – she had 5 boys, and I was the first girl (oldest granddaughter) that came into her world. She has helped guide and shape me into the person I am today!! We are still close – and facetime almost every single day, across the miles!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Being raised in a christian home – having many church experiences, attending bible school, church camps, various community events, which simply laid the foundation in my life. Also, moving around a lot being a pastor’s kid – we grew closer together each and every time! It instilled the importance of family into us as well.

Being a member of band/drumline growing up – realizing the importance of being part of a group larger than myself, and how it feels to “belong” on a higher level.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My parent’s divorce and our family splitting apart when I was 16.

Moving around frequently, gave me more understanding for those going through similar experiences. Knowing how it feels!

Losing a special grandparent and knowing the depth of heartache that comes with such a loss
