S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Risa Blyer for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like to serve and help others accomplish good goals, or meet their needs. I like helping facilitate our Sports Ministry programs. I like helping someone else’s life be made easier. I like helping where needed.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe it is in giving that we help others; the church help others. It is important to me that everyone come to know the Lord, our God and I trust that by my obedience to God in giving, His work will be advanced.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like education. I like to learn, and I like to help others learn. It is important to me that those I love and care about come to know about the love of God and seek a relationship with Him. However I can share my knowledge with them, I want to do. I want to help others learn what they need to know and if I have that knowledge, I want to share it with them.
[H]eart
1. I love God. I love seeing Him work in my life and others’ lives. I love when He reveals himself to me in a way that I know it is Him. I love His sense of humor.
2. I love spending time with my family, friends and others enjoying and appreciating God’s gifts to us in whatever ways that is (recreation, working, relationship, nature, music, learning, laughter, fun, pets, etc.)
3. I love accomplishing something and it is good. I love spending time in nature.
Mostly adults, from young to old. I like working with people that have a sense of humor, are honest, that I can learn from, that have a positive outlook on life but realistic, that love God and want to serve Him and that are kind to me. I enjoy children, helping them, teaching and learning from them.
I love working in the Sports Ministry. I enjoy helping a fun activity happen and connecting people to the activity, in an environment that is permeated with teaching about God and His ways, introducing them to Him, or nurturing their relationship with Him, and at the same time teaching them a skill in the Sports activity or in biblical knowledge, relationship with others, that they can use the rest of their lives for enjoyment, good health, relationships, skill, etc.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I was raised in the Catholic Faith by my mom and grandmother. I wanted more, to know God better, to have a relationship with Jesus and I sought that out through prayer, biblical teaching and study. I surrendered my life to Jesus, accepted Him as my savior and seek him through prayer, biblical teaching, study and fellowship.
Learning through experiences, relationships, counseling, biblical teaching.
Being a mother of two children, experiencing life with them, and now a grandmother. Seeing life through children’s eyes, giving love to them and receiving it from them.
Working at the church, being surrounded by those who love and serve the Lord. The positive influences, teachings, relationships.
Divorce, broken relationships, seeing the painful consequences of the effects of a broken marriage on my children and on others who have experienced it.
The negative effects of alcoholism in my family and others.
The effects of sin, addiction in people, relationships, families break my heart.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. I would spend more time pouring into my children and grandchildren, the Word of God, the joy of God, experiencing life with them and always helping them see how much God loves them and how important it is to love and obey Him.
4. To help my parents with their needs.
5. To continue working at the church, doing what is needed in the Sports Ministry related to my job.
