Thank you Renate McDonald for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
In 2014, I was at the end of myself with trying to save my marriage. I was sad, stressed and exhausted from constantly battling with my husband. We were both at a friend’s wedding that year and their expression of love moved us so much that we had to find out more about their source. We decided to visit their church – that was TLC. On that very day, I was so strongly moved by what was preached that I responded to the call to salvation. I have not turned back since.
TLC – Resource Desk (Hospitality) – 2 years
TLC – Life Group Leader (Discipleship) – 4 years
TLC – Caregiver (Youth Ministry) – 1 year
TLC – Teacher (Youth Ministry) – 3 years
TLC – Intercessor (Prayer Ministry) – 2 years
Attending a friend’s wedding and seeing their expression of God’s love during their ceremony
Witnessing my husband breaking down in tears because of the move of the Holy Spirit
Reconciling with a friend after we each went to the Lord and He brought healing to us individually. We were able to come back together with a renewed view of our friendship. This taught me of God’s healing and restorative power in a very tangible way.
Growing up without a father
Being involved in a sexual relationship as a teenager
Dealing with family contention while handling the death of my grandmother and preparing for her funeral
