I have been blessed to have people in my life who were and are an encouragement to me and I would like to do the same for others. I know I can’t tell others what to do, I understand that they have to make their own choices but I can encourage them to do what’s right.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am blessed to have always had the opportunities to work and earn money, ever since I was a teenager. I have learned about paying my tithes and to give back to God and started to put that into practice regularly. I owe it all to God that I have the opportunity and ability to work and I am fortunate to earn more than enough money to be able to give.

My current vocation:

That’s what I’m trying to figure out. I currently work in an office setting doing accounting/finance type of work, but I don’t like it very much…….it’s too easy and unfulfilling. I have some interest in a career change towards human resources. But I have a passion to help people in impoverished communities and countries although I’m not sure where to start or how to help on bigger scale. But I believe that in this day and age with so many rich countries that could share their resources there should be no reason that people have to live or struggle so much in other countries or even in parts of our own county of Canada.

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

The seed was planted as a young child through a summer bible camp. My parent’s got saved and they prayed for me to get saved. I believe it was through the power of praying parents and their example and guidance. I gave my life to Jesus in December of 2018

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Having parents that were married for more than 40 years, until one of them passed away. Knowing that they stayed together and overcame their challenges without giving up has been an encouragement, and I believe it was because they sought God and came to know Jesus.

Being raised by hard working but present parents.

Attending various camp/tent meetings and gospel meetings growing up. Being witness to these and hearing about God from a young age.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Becoming an alcoholic at a very young age.

Being exposed to an alcoholic parent and experiencing first hand what that was like growing up in an unhealthy environment.

Giving in to peer pressure, caring too much about what others thought about me, and being liked and popluar.

3. I would partner with pastoral leaders in Cuba to bring the word of God to people there. I would collect basic necessities for the Cuban people that they are lacking and have them delivered and dispersed throughout their country.

4. Go on a missionary trip

5. Start a ministry or campaign that focused on helping to poor by meeting their most basic needs first and then leading them to Jesus.
