I accepted Christ at a very early age (8-9 yrs. old). Grew up in a Christain home and I always believed in God. What brought me into a closer relationship with God was learning more about what it’s about to be in the world but of the world, the carnal mind and spiritual mind. The newness of life in Christ.

A pastor who taught and took personal interest in each member of the flock where he was teaching and leading to understand how important and unique their individual relationship with Christ is. Wanting a close friend and God placing someone one my path to let me know what true friendship was truly about.

Those who serve in ministry and then place a lot of influence on their education (where they attended school, sororities and networking groups). Saying one thing and demonstrating another which makes other feel like they need to live up to or may never measure up to their (this world standards). .

Putting more emphasis’s on giving money than soul winning, as though money determines one’s relationship to Christ in being Saved.

Living in a city without family support and expecting a church family to be available, only to learn that once church assembly is over everyone has their own personal life for which you are not a part of. Seeking spiritual counsel and needing help when in distressing situation (ie. husband passed) and tried speaking with the senior pastor who didn’t take time help me.
