S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you RJ Strich for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Teaching (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Been a coach for years (Rec, Travel Soccer) that has allowed me to teach others about soccer but more importantly that it relates a bit to life…..

#2 Gift, Giving (59%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I would rather give of myself than receive….. I never fully tithed until I started in 2019… giving of time to teach or coach I also enjoy…. helping others is so much more rewarding.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (53%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I didn’t realize that this was a strength. I feel emboldened since 2019… having given up to God.. reading his word and then sharing with the youth at PVC/the summer camp 2 years ago or trying to talk to people I work with…. God is moving in our midst and people should know…..

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Came to Christ as a child but was just like the Israelites in the wilderness for 40 years… was awakened in 2019 when faced with health issues for wife and daughter that forced me to relinquish control…. read the Bible from cover to cover and truly understand that God should always be first in my life which is one of the hardest things to submit to… May His will be done, not mine.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Park Valley Church, PVC Kids – 2019 until COVID

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

The MOST positive is submission and resting in God during the summer of healing in 2019.

Mother and Father supporting me attending Evangel Christian School; Exposure to multiple Christian denominations throughout my youth; Youth Group during HS (Episcopal)

Serving as an altar boy during summers in CT (St Johns Orthodox Church) that my grandmother took me to

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Challenge of having parents and brother that harbored my child and then they tried to set him against my wife and I (Child moved out after 1st Semester of College)

Living with an angry father – affects all aspects of one’s life

Living a life and making self centered decisions without God in it

Wrapping It Up

  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Submit to God’s Will

4. Learn about Him to fully equip me to daily
