S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Ruth Pettaway for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am surprised I scored so high in Evangelism but I am always telling others about Jesus & what He has done & what He will do in the lives. Letting them know that Jesus is the answer for whatever their need is.

I am always encouraging other who feel there is no hope or a way out of a bad situation. Sharing who to become an overcoming by doing what Jesus did to defeat the enemies with “It is written” and that they too can speak the Word.

I am truly a giver of tithe, time & treasure to the Ministry & giving to others with finances when there is a need & of time to help restore life back to normal after and illness or loss.
[H]eart
1. Helping others and helping to right wrong when a person is being falsely accused by speaking the Word of God in the situation.
2. Being able to give to worthy causes like St Jude’s, International Fellowship of Christians & Jews, etc.
3. Traveling & going to places I have never been before & meeting new people & there is always the opportunity to share the Love of Jesus with them.
Young women mostly. Am Able to work well with children also.
A need for mid-week service to encourage & uplift to make it until Sunday. To see some of the other visions of the ministry come forth. I know they will in time.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
When I was in the Baptist Church at the age of 12 when I accepted Jesus as my Lord & Savior & was baptized. I received the Baptist in the Holy Ghost in l981 in Montgomery at a Women’s Aglow Conference.
Moved to Mobile in Dec 1981 & was involved with Spirit Vision & assisted in ministry in 1991. 1995 joined Word Alive Church at Mobile & was ordained as an elder in 1996. In 1997, answered the call of ministry & was licensed & ordained & did my initial sermon in March 1997. During this time was also involved with Word Alive Ministry & was the Bible School Administrator for the Bible Institute & School of Ministry. Taught classes in the School of Ministry & continued to serve also as Leader of all Small Groups. Went on mission trip to Mexico & help minister there.
Joined Gulf Coast Christian Center 2010 & was ordained as an Elder in this Ministry. Was involved in the Nursing Home Ministry at Twin Oaks which involved, preaching, Singing & praying for the residents that were bedridden. Participated in opening services on Sunday Morning & Wednesday Nights & did Offerings when scheduled. Prepared meals every Wednesday night before service. Sang in the choir.
Came to South Coast Church in July 2018 & am currently serving on the Prayer Team.
My other mother, Mrs. Lois, whom I started working for when I was 8 years old. Treated me like a mother/daughter relationship instead of an employer/employee relationship. Driving her call at 12 yrs old & going to the store & post office & ran any other errands she needed. Set a strong work ethic for me.
Willingness to be obedient for what God was calling e to when I was in the Baptist Church when I lived in GA. Taught Sunday School, Sang in the choir, Association Asst. Sec, Church Announcer, Usher & Missionary President
Going back to school & earning two degrees & encouraged all of the females in the Singles Small Group I taught to do the same. Many of them did & some even earned a Masters. Some are still in school now.
People being looked over for who or what they don’t have. Being taken down from all activities because I divorced a cheating husband who had fathered several outside children & they felt I should stay with him.
Sharing with divorced women that Life does go on. You cannot rollover & give up just because he walked out & left you alone & broke.
Being called a Jezebel because of the way I looked, shoes, clothes, earrings & nail polish. Never was shown Love. Never joined those churches.
