#1 Gift, Administration (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am very organized and like when things are in order. Sometimes to ensure that, I can become a wee bit over zealous with taking up organizational tasks like minute taking, calendar setting, email sending, etc.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
My favorite part about my walk with Christ now is truly understanding that Christianity and boring are not synonymous. In this day and age, things that are typically themed “fun” are often not in line with what the Bible wants for our lives whoever, those things are not the only things that are fun. I love being apart of planning mixers and events for young Christians and new believers so that they can have a space to relax and have a good time but also feel confident that they’re not engaging in the immoral. Also, I went through a very dark time in my life that God pulled me out of so I loveeee to talk about the goodness of Jehovah jireh, my provider.

#3 Gift, Teaching (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a teaching background and a part of my job now is teaching so I think at this point it’s just innate in me. I often don’t think I’m meant to be in a teaching role, but in almost every job I’ve had, I have been so maybe God is trying to tell me something.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I’ve always been a Christian, I guess, but I went in and out of times in my life where I felt God wasn’t there. It all cane to a vault when I moved across country three years ago with nothing and knowing no one that God really took the opportunity to show me He is always there and always was there. I went from unemployed to landing a job at one of Hollywood’s nicest production companies, from sleeping in my car to getting my first apartment by myself. And more than that, I went from always feeling alone to knowing I could call on His name. It hasn’t been a perfect road and I haven’t been a perfect Christian but that for me is when i made the conscious decision as an adult to want to follow Christ.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

One Church LA, Los Angeles, Ca: Production Team Ministry
2.5 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Moving out to LA a few years back was a whirlwind, but it showed me how to have faith.

Being raised in Nigeria with my grandmother when I was a child. She was the one that taught me about forgiveness and although it can be tough for me at times, forgiveness has proven itself to be the theme of my life.

Learning to write stories and plots at a young age. Writing had always brought me joy for as long as I can remember. I wouldn’t be me without it.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I’ve been homeless twice in my life, once as a child with my family and once as an adult so I feel for families in need.

I moved from college to college a lot for both academic and financial reasons and it causes me to spiral into a season of discontentment. Nothing had a purpose and I was going through the motions with everything. When I came out of that season I realized a lot of my misfortune was self inflicted and could have been avoided had I just shifted my mindset.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. To create a media company that specialized in creating God centered content that was true to its word but also palatable to nonbelievers.

4. I’m not sure if this counts because I am tone deaf but I really would love to sing in a church setting. There are just some praise and worship songs that fill me with such joy that I wish I could lead them. That way others could feel what I feel.

5. I would want to spend more time with the elderly. Like, a nearly daily amount of time with them. There is so much wisdom in age and more than that, I think most would enjoy th company and the opportunity to share their wisdom.
