[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was homeless and I was in downtown Los Angeles on the streets drug addicted and prayed for God to help me and I will serve him and fast foward 5 years later I was in a relationship and went to Rhode island . as soon as I moved here I was dumped a week into my being in Rhode Island and I was broken inside scared young and had nowhere to go so I went to the mental heath dept. and thought I was going crazy I spoke with a lady and she took me to her desk and I told her my life story and why I ended up in Rhode Island and I asked god 5 years past that to send me a person who is real christian I didnt want a phoney. I asked for a sign and the sign was as I spoke to this woman she sounded so wise she reminded me of my favorite poet Mya Angelou and I asked her if she was a church lady and she said yes she was . their was an outward glow about her and she invited me to church two weeks later from that meeting I went to church and was saved in a baptist church. that was my beginning.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Coast christian fellowship Torrance california I served food pantry ministry. and convolesant ministry.

Faith Fellowship in Newport Rhode Island served on the worship team and co youth leader.

Cross Point Church in Newport Rhode Island. I served on the prayer intercessory prayer team , and worship team for a season, sunday school teachers helper.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I had a grandmother who showed me love and taught me a little about who jesus was and she prayed for me alot . that was the biggest impact on me to start.

I also had a neighbor who showed me what compassion was I went to her once or twice told he my problems and she prayed for me.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being homeless myself helped me to understand others sufferings

coming from a broken and abusive home

and being a survivor of the Los Angeles streets and victim of rape.
