S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Sarah H for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to organise and systematise.
I love seeing things run really smoothly on the surface because the “paddling feet” below the surface are running really efficiently/cleanly.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to bite into the word, process it and spit it back out again.
I love to explain stuff in different, more understandable ways. I love to council and reveal truths and see people have light-bulb moments
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to be really great support. (same thing with the gliding swan and the paddling feet). Partly I’m nervous about the really bold jobs which I don’t think I have the guts for, but its also really fulfilling serving.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I grew up with family that modelled God’s love more perfectly than anyone else I know. I tested my faith in my teens and early adult hood and claimed my faith for my own. At some point along the track, the false belief that I had to earn my place with God crept in. In my early 20’s I got fed up with constantly failing and threw the towel in, so that I could go and “fail” in peace. My family AND God stood by me, guiding and admonishing me, but mostly loving me. God didn’t let me go through that period – he constantly whispered his love of me. Eventually the whispers broke down the walls I’d put up to God, and broke through the lies that my standing with God had depended on me. I learnt learnt really practically from God (and again, modelled by my family) that I was loved COMPLETELY and wholly aside from my actions. My security was from GOD’s goodness and greatness, and not my own. And it’s been further up & further in ever since.
