S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Sarah Jolly for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Mercy Showing (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
There are a lot of people I’ve encountered in life that have hurt me in the past. Through the hurt takes time to heal, I’ve never sought vengeance nor “justice”. I pray continually for them that God doesn’t hold it against them. For their hearts to be changed. Proverbs 15:1 a soft reply turns away wrath. Some people act out in anger or just learned bad habits growing up. I try to remember that and not take things personally. I think often about how Christ acted while caring the cross being mocked. Instead of lashing out at their harsh words and abuse, he was silent, did what God told him to do and prayed for them saying God forgive them for they know not what they do.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (96%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I truly enjoy sharing my faith with others. When I was working in an office that’s all I talked about. I think at times, people over think evangelism; how it needs to be this big speech and if they dont change right away to give up etc but I often find that having genuine conversations over time about your daily walk with God makes those around you want to know more about God. I once was evangelizing to my wiccan co worker, we were just friendly and I would share things God was doing in my life whenever it came up. Eventually, she asked to come to church with me because she saw my prayers being answered and how I always tried matching my character to the bible. My greatest joy during that time is when we had a slight disagreement she said “I cant even be mad at you because youre so kind and I know you have good intentions etc”. I really feel true fulfillment speaking about God with others.

#3 Gift, Serving (96%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to help anyone in need. Whether it be by small acts of kindess, giving or helping with anything they’re going through. Making others happy and doing things that help them get through difficulties it extremely fulfilling for me. Especially when speaking with people in shelters or hospitals. Getting to hear their stories, knowing them on a deep level and getting them anything the need to make their day better.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Sharing my testimony and any lessons God has taught me with others

2. I love to work with children and have a intense desire to help orphans and children who have been afflicted by sex trafficking

3. sponsoring missionaries

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I don’t really have a preference. Id say mostly children but I don’t mind those my age, older or those of different beliefs/ backgrounds.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I could write a novel about this but in summary; the world influencing the church more than the church influencing the world. It breaks my heart that I see a lot of believers who don’t have an intimate relationship with God. I get very excited to share about how personally a relationship can be with him

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I dabbled in divination and learned the hard way why God speaks against it. I was tormented for many years. I prayed to God and that night was the first night I slept without a nightmare. I had a vision of a giant man with no face in pure white light. I understood what he was saying to me but it wasn’t as if it was in English nor audible. I wasn’t bothered spiritually after that. I felt as though the evil that once tormented me was fleeing from me once I walked into a room. I read the bible and realized it was the exact description of God and how his presence effects spirits.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I severed in the children’s ministry at The church of 1122 in Jacksonville Fl. It was not long though; less than a year.
