S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Sarah Lindstrom for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Giving (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I give because I love, because God loves me and blessed me with more than I need.

#2 Gift, Serving (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to be the supporting role, to do the behind the scenes stuff that helps things come together. I love to plan and organize, i’m responsible and reliable, which goes very well with that kind of work. I would much rather do something to show them Gods love than tell them about it.

#3 Gift, Teaching (59%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I haven’t spent a lot of time teaching yet, but I really enjoy one on one times, instructing and helping people learn in settings like sports, biblical principles, or just any knowledge I have to share.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I am a hairdresser currently and I love it when I get to transform someones hair and give them something they love because even though its just hair it brings them great joy, and I get to shine Gods light to people through that process.

2. I love to spend time outdoors with people i’m close with. Just experiencing Gods beautiful creation and growing in relationship with other people.

3. I love good quality time with people. Even though i’m slow to open up, knowing someone well and being able to grow together brings great joy to my life.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

If this is asking who i like to work along side, i enjoy working with middle aged adults because their wisdom is amazing, as well as people my age, young adults.
If its asking who i like to serve, also young people, as well as young kids i have a heart for.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I want to serve the poor and needy, specifically of other countries.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up a in a christian household. I gave my life to Christ when I was young and never strayed away from that path. I really started to make my faith my own in high school and learn who God is for myself.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Kids ministry, since I was in middle school. Living Faith Fellowship (Pullman WA), and Heart of the City Church (Coeur d’Alene ID)

One week in Haiti, 2016

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Being mentored by my youth leaders when i was in High School.

Attending a christian school and being taught biblical truths and worldviews from a young age.

Circumstances causing me to wait patiently on Gods timing and promises.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

People who have come into my salon and have acted poorly toward me, its upsetting at first but then I realize how broken they are inside and how much they need Gods love too.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Supporting and providing for poor people in poor countries, possibly living there.

4. Use my skills as a hairdresser for more important things than just making money, however that looks.

5. Learn to play an instrument.
