Thank you Sheila Cook for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am often a follower, and I don’t mind being in the background doing what is needed to help. I don’t enjoy public speaking, but I feel I work well supporting and helping various ministries within the church.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Teaching children in church is different from teaching in school. I am not as comfortable with it , but I am learning how to improve. I try to find ways to make the lessons easier to understand and focus on lessons that we can take away and apply to our own lives.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I could use improvement in this area, and I probably need to encourage others more often than I do. I think this is important though because everyone needs words of encouragement and acts of kindness.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior at an early age. As a teenager and young adult, I sometimes fell into sin and the ways of the world. I would have times where I would go back to trying to live a Christian life that would be pleasing to God, but I can’t say that I was consistent. I feel like there was a lot that I didn’t know then because I didn’t really grow and mature in the faith in the way that I needed to. Also, I didn’t have the Godly guidance I needed during that time in my life. I was from a broken home, and was self-sufficient in many ways. I didn’t make the best choice in marriage. My husband was brought up in church, but he never really went with me. Over time, our beliefs and choices differed significantly. I didn’t believe in divorce, so I tried to keep my marriage together because I knew God’s plan for marriage is not divorce. During this time of hurt and brokenness, I felt like I grew in my relationship with the Lord. I began to see that I was choosing the marriage relationship over God because God did not expect me to live in the circumstances I was living in. I was loosing myself from the damage, and my focus turned to self-preservation. After separating from the broken marriage, I was able to find healing and grow more in my faith. My intent and focus became serving the Lord and following His will and purpose for my life. I did not want to make a mistake that took my eyes off of serving Him. Later, God blessed me with a Godly husband who loves and cherishes me. Together, we serve in the ministry. I have experienced God’s goodness and grace in my life, and I want to live for Him all the days I have left on this Earth. I don’t know exactly what that looks like, but I know that if I am serving in His will., it will be good!
