S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Stuart Bertles for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I don’t mind telling people what Christ has done in my life and what he can do for them.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I know that everything is God’s and I want to try to be a good steward of the things that He blesses me with. (time, money, resources, skills)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a soft spot for the child, adolescent, or adult that appears withdrawn, or reclusive, and I want to friend them and see if they can be drawn out to feel more a part of the group setting.

1. Family….Being a dad and husband, a brother, son, uncle…the whole nine yards, in the extreme traditional sense….I am quick to chastise those that promote relationships that are not as God intended…(too quick sometimes…it’s a fault that I am dealing with). God is actively dealing with my heart to not cause damage to His purpose by being to argumentative instead of showing love to my enemies….(those that attack the God planned family structure)
2. Motorcycles…..wind therapy…
Photography, hobby, not for pay…for fun!
3. Prayer. I was a part of a great men’s prayer group and it grew me up a lot in my Christian walk and while sometimes I am a bit timid about it, I do like to pray and intercede for others. I find that when my prayer life is “up to date”…then I feel most in tune with God.
I don’t know that I have that answer locked in…. I started out teaching SS with jr. high guys 25 years ago, then moved into young adults, then to 30 and 40 something adults….Now I kind of feel in limbo about where to serve. After caring for my aging parents in their last years and days, I have a great desire to see the elderly cared for with love and as much dignity as can be afforded them. Dad passed 1/11/16 and Mom 8/24/17.
Unity, anti-pettiness, outreach activities, post disaster ministry.
Abortion/sanctity of Life
Marriage/family issues
Parenting
Other – Elderly care
[A]bilities

I don’t know that I have any special skills to speak of…. i’m kind of a jack of many trades…master of none.

I don’t know that I have any special skills to speak of…. i’m kind of a jack of many trades…master of none. I can do a little bit of a lot of things.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Seeing the ugly pettiness in a church body about music, church attire, and other things that should not affect a body of believers in such a divisive way.
Seeing the “behind the scenes” power struggle and politics in a church that tears apart, and creates division for reasons that aren’t worthy.
Seeing pastors and music ministers treated very badly by a few opinionated members who think they are in charge instead of God.
