[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to feel like I’m making a difference.

2. I love to feel like I’m in a community.

3. I love to feel like I’m making progress.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Not really sure, I do well with kids, but I’d also like to help out young girls because I remember what it was like to be them.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

The prison ministry sounds amazing and scary at the same time. I’d like to be involved in the college ministry, but I just got out of college so I don’t know if I’d have anything to offer.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was basically raised in the church and was able to accept it as my own faith. My actual salvation experience is a cute story, for I was young, but it worked.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

University Heights Baptist Church, Stillwater, OK
Cooked breakfast for college students, assisted teaching little kids

North Pointe Baptist Church, Edmond, OK
Welcoming team, childcare, VBS, volunteer opportunities

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Learning to study the Bible using the inductive method

Learning to share the gospel using illustrations

I don’t know, literally God has always taken care of me. Amazing Christ-centered family, all needs met, etc.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Graduating college and being thrust into the professional world. Loneliness.

Almost falling for a man who was not Godly.

Seeing the party/substance abuse/popularity/acceptance scene in college. Sad stuff.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. I want to go overseas and help people who have no hope.

4. I want to help run a ministry serving those in need. Serving the homeless, giving them a job or something. Making society less afraid of them.

5. I want to infiltrate the immigrant populations in Greeley and find out how cultures work together and what they believe.
