Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I grew up in the church attending sunday school when I was a kid and vacation bible schools during the summer (often at the alter to be apart of the other kids). I was aware of what was right and wrong and believed in Jesus, but it was not until 2005 when I was engaged to be married that I the serious decision to surrender my life to Jesus (during a communion service).
I have only served and attended the Charlottesville First Church of the Nazarene in Keswick, VA 22947.
My wife (fiancé at the time) wanted to get into church so we could get married. That desire lead us (me back to CFCN) to CFCN where we have grown in our faith and love for Christ.
Pastor Bill Willis was the lead pastor when I returned to church. His guidance, leadership, and personal relationship with me helped to form me into the man, husband, father, and leader I am today.
Brian Young befriended me when I was new to the church and our friendship has grown exponentially over the last 20 years. Brian has been a mentor and accountability partner that has always pointed me back to Christ.
My parents divorced when I was 3 or 4. I then lived with my grandmother as I grew up and she showed me what it looked like to care for and have compassion for other people.
