[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I ‘walked the aisle’ at age 10 in the church I had been in since ‘cradle roll’ (nursery). I believe that first a first step toward making Jesus my Savior. I can remember everything about that day. However, at the age of 23, as a young wife and mother I realized that I had never completely surrendered my entire life to Jesus, understanding that decision affected everything about my life. I prayed asking God to show me anything that was lacking in my full surrender to Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

First Baptist Church, Texarkana Texas. Served as a Receptionist and Secretary to the Minister of Education for a year, Assistant to Minister of Children, Preschool Minister, Children & Preschool Minister. Total of 18 years.

First Baptist Church of Wake Village Texas. Served as Children’s Minister for 8 years.

Circle J Cowboy Church, Texarkana Arkansas. Serve as Children’s Minister from Oct. 2014 to present.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

The church was always a BIG part of my life. I was very involved as a young person, serving with young children and active in mission organizations.

I had several mentors as I was growing up, those who served faithfully, put God first in their lives, and invested in me.

I was raised in a Christian family.

I have gone through a divorce.

I have experienced a serious health threat.
