#1 Gift, Administration (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Well…let’s just say I am happy to help in any way that I can. I do not necessary like to be seen or know. Just like to identify major bottle necks and trust God for the wisdom to help resolve. I am hesitant to fully take responsibility at times, but when I do, I always want to get results.

Over time, in my various church experience, I find that God causes situations to happen that makes me contribute in this way

#2 Gift, Evangelism (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Very little gives me joy in life than to recognize that a soul was won or rededicated to Christ because of some effort I made.
So I may not always evangelize at every instance. I don’t brandish my faith. However, should a situation warrant that I proclaim same, I apologetically do so. I believe the greatest way to win souls is to exemplify Christ. I rarely get the nudge to talk to complete stranger about Christ, but when I do, its comes from friendship/love. Actually, I am not extremely passionate (i.e. in an expressed form) about soul-winning and surprised this came out, but I could share a tear if a life headed for rocks sees the light. Does that make senses?

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Now, this I do freely. Not because I am a naturally optimist or don’t often get discouraged myself. However, when I see someone is down and blue, I feel a strong urge to help them back. Most times, I just open my mouth and trust the Holy Spirit to feel it

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Encouraging others when they are done. Life can challenging many times and while some of us have learnt to internalize
our problems. They are so many who get stuck and don’t know where to go. Providing respites and pre
proffering solutions to people’s challenges

2. Helping people to discover and become all they could be

3. Helping people to come to the knowledge of Jesus as all in all and accepting him as that

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Well, I am a bit fluid with age. Although I often find myself with friends at 5 years older. The younger guys (older teens and young adults) usually make for better ministry conversations i.e. who am I? What do I do best? Which career should i pursue?…things like that

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Drama, Worship (Choirs), Counselling, leadership development, create a sense of belonging

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Born into a Muslim family but neve really practice Islam. Was raised by a single Mum who was a liberal (non-practicing Muslim). Attended fellowship in neigbours house. Enjoyed the singing and all. Read my book of bible stories. Got born again in 1992 after my brother’s friend, a Deeper Life Member the witnessed to me. Did so more out of fear than love. Attended Deeper Life fellowship and a few retreats. A stint in House of God for pleasure. Got to know God when I got into Christ Embassy. Then Daystar CC/ Rhema Chapel (while in school). Joined RCCG for a few years. Now in One Church. It’s been a journey. A number down moments, but God never let me stay down. I consider myself to be on a journey. Exciting days ahead

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Christ Embassy HQ, Ikeja 1998 – 2001 Teenage PCU Leader

Daystar Christian Centre HQ Oregun – 2001 – 2014 Area Coordinator, Zonal Secretary, Nehemiah Member , Maturity School Coordinator
Rhema Chapel Agbowo – 2003 – 2007 HOD, Drama Dept and Protocol by co-option. Intercessory Volunteer

RCCG, House of Mercy, Enugu. 2007-2008 Sunday School Teacher

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

An encounter with the spirit of God in a private worship session. He became real to me.

I did the unthinkable by giving a money I had borrowed to pay for printing an assignment in school. Received 400 fold from unlikely source 2 hours later

At a Drama Outreach at the Polytechnic of Ibadan. Everything seemed to be going south in terms of organisation. Suddenly, God showed up and 80 percent of attendees gave their lives. It was good problems for counsellors that day

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Failing academically. Spent 5 years at homes before I got into Uni. Picked up academically and always willing to support people going through similar challenges. Related to this, paid my way through Uni because there was no funds, so I am inclined to help those going through such challenges

Occasionally smoked weed in high school and developed a sexual addiction. Some “friends” and associates are still stuck. Others have pulled out with my support and the support of others. There remains a desire to support those going through such struggles i.e. addiction

Had an encounter during an academic field trip in my undergrad days that drew my attention to the deplorable state of government-owned facilities for Child Psychopathologies. Many of these children, in other climes, would grow up to be significant contributors to socio-economic development. But in Nigeria, a lot of them are considered liabilities, have their lives shortened and never get to reach utilize their God-given potentials. It remains an area that I intend to invest substantial resources in the coming years.
