S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Simeon Lowe for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I get energized by seeing others moved or changed. Because I’m highly relational, it’s rewarding to encourage others through listening and challenging them. Along with being rewarding, it holds me accountable to understand my belief system and know the ways to effectively communicate it.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
If I can clearly articulate an idea or concept to others, it gives me energy. On the inverse, if I do a crappy job of explaining or presenting on a topic, I will be overly critical of myself and frustrated. I think teaching has been a something I’ve spent a lot of effort increasing my comfort with. My job requires me to bring teams together and educate them not only on our industry, but in spaces that they can create efficiencies or improvements. It has become a lot easier to do this since I’ve found more “my style” in teaching. It definitely didn’t come overnight though.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I see the trend of “people” and “relational” in these 3 gifting areas. As a young Christian, like 12-16 years old, I was a part of a youth group that really challenged and pushed more open-air or random person in the mall style evangelism. I couldn’t stand it. I felt as thought it created an even larger gap between the people we were trying to minister to. When you can share your faith in conversation that is contextually relevant and unforced, there is a simplistic beauty to it. Those are the moments that I can see this being a gifting for me.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I was raised in a Christ-centered home. Like many others who had a similar up-bringing, being taught what the Bible teaches was a core part of my childhood and subsequent acceptance of Christ at 8 years old. I fully believe that’s when I “became a Christian” but life, trials and phases have been a huge part of that transformation and journey that brings me to the belief system and relationship that I hold today.
None!
Having stable and consistent role models in my parents.
Being out on my own for the first time in college and coming to terms with my personal identity and belief system.
Playing in bands and building meaningful relationships with people through music since I was 15.
Bad dating situations and broken relationships.
Losing 2 siblings to accident and disease.
Legalism and piety in the church.
