Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I have been a Christian all my life. I have been attending church since I was a baby and Christian summer camps since I was 9. I believe I asked the lord into my heart when I was very young and then again at camp when I was 16 as a reconfirmation. God has always been the main focus in my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have served as a Sunday school teacher(10 years?) , worship team & choir (15 years?), Sunday school administrator (2 years) , musical theatre director (2 years) , hand bell choir leader (3 years), small group leader and likely more I’m forgetting about….. All over the span of 30 years.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

God delivered my father from alcoholism for 3 years which allowed him to form a close and special bond with my son. This impacted him and me greatly and I thank God for giving us that time with him.

God has been in the center of my son life allowing him to overcome challenges continually. He is profoundly deaf and has autism yet he has the ability to power through anything thrown in his path. God has certainly given him this ability.

My own life is a testimony to God. Raised without a dad and being reminded by God the HE is my father has gotten me through many trials. Now a single mother myself, my kids know this to be true in their life as well and they are well rounded and loving children because of God’s presence and promises ❤️

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I have a heart for other single parents as I have struggled on my own for over 15 years. My struggles have made me stronger so I can see the light at the end and give others hope.

Being a parent of a special needs child gives me compassion for others in this situation. I get it.

I haven’t always understood why certain prayers seem to go unanswered in my life but as I look back, I can see they were, in HIS time and in HIS way. I can help others relate to this struggle.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Singing for God. Worshipping Him and reaching others through song.

4. Helping youth come to known God. Being their supportor, comforter, friend especially is that is lacking in their life. I have a heart for that in those that feel alone.

5. Continuing to build my relationship with God in any way I can.
