[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My parents did not attend church. But I learned many bible stories as a kid in sunday school. At about age 12 I quit going. I moved the bible stories into the fiction file with superman and the tooth fairy. I did not call myself an atheist, but I was. I had nothing to do with God or the church until I was 24. I came back to God while in U.S, Army Ranger school when a chaplain parachuted in to lead a worship service. I decided it couldn’t hurt to pray to God for my personal safety while at the school. It had been so long, it felt like the first time I had ever prayed. God stirred in me that day, and I knew He was real and that I had been missing out on something. I began seeking Him whole-heartedly. I accepted Christ and was baptised when I was 25.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have volunteered to help with youth ministry, construction ministry, and lay speaking ministries. I have filled the pulpit in several churches.

high school sports. military training and service. college and army rugby. But far and away the biggest impact was being a foster parent.
