[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. 1. Singing hymns to praise the Lord, to remember His mercies, His immediate help, and His much needed company.

2. 2. To play an instrument, like a piano to glorify the Lord.

3. 3. Tell others how God has helped me along my whole life, and still continues being with me in every moment, and during difficult times.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Probably people my age or somewhat younger than me, like in the 60’s.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

1. Probably, an evaluation program in the Church, to determine which bad habits must be eradicated. 2. How to deal with difficult people in the Church, and in any other place. 3. Ways, or methods to practice to eradicate these habits out of our lives.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My parents always took me to church very often, and when I grew up, told me not to miss it on Sundays. I started as a Catholic, until I arrived to USA, where I changed for the Evangelism. Then, I stopped at the First Baptist Church, and liked it. Since then, I am still with FBC, now Creekside Christian Church.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

One evening, while in Lima, Peru, my native country, I was living alone, and decided to do as the world does. I had a car, I had a house, I was relatively young, in good health. Then I had an idea to spend the night in a different, with more fun : go out, entertain, have a ‘great night,’ go anywhere I have never been, and make friends. Then came a little voice in my heart: “Tonight you are going to have a night like never before, you would go to places you have never been, and you would not be afraid of anything, because nobody would be waiting for you, nobody would reproach if you return home late. However, how are you going to feel tomorrow?” Definitely, it was the Lord’s voice. Obediently, I did not go to any place. I stayed home, as usual.

My Dad’s surprising death one night. I was already in bed. Everything went so strange that night, that when I look backwards, it seems more a nightmare, not a real time. Anyway, I conclude, the Lord was teaching me to be more dependable on Himself, to trust Him, and to learn how to live only depending on Him.

Coming to USA. this time alone, was a real experience in developing decision, faith, courage, being resourceful, being ready to learn everything necessary to become competitive in a foreign country, being a good citizen, obey the law, and follow the Country’s rules, and learn to protect myself.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

When arriving to the airport in USA, nobody was waiting for me, had no place to stay, nor anybody to count on for help. The Lord provided a known person at the airport, who advised me to get to Carmichael in the bus looking for the lady who was supposed to receive me. After three days, and a series of problems, the lady finally came and gave me some hints, was helpful in finding an apartment for me and left. I never saw her again, I found my first job in Elk Grove, and then the private companies, the County, and finally with the State of CA.

I was living in an apartment in Sacramento for three days; however, never checked the whole place until the last day, just before coming to Elk Grove. The back door was never secured, but was unlocked, partially open, and I did not know it.

Taking care of a lady with Alzheimer in Sacramento, one night she decided to leave the house, because she believed her boy friend was waiting for her outside. On the intent, she got stacked with her wheelchair in the porch between the door and an step. I had hard time to free her and bear her protests for not letting go outside. Besides, she enjoyed going to the kitchen and taking every kitchen aid and cutlery out of each drawer and setting all on top of the counter. Next day, I had to put all in order again.
