Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior on August 7, 2016. After losing my grandfather to cancer I turned to the lord to deal with the emotions and loss I was facing.
One Oak Church- Royal Oak, MI
Creative Director- Involved for 2.5 years
Joining One Oak Church has had a huge impact on who I am today. Being under such great leadership has really equipped me to go out and lead in other facets of my life.
My mom works as a registered nurse. A good portion of my life I grew up being around the elderly. I always wanted to come to her job and help out. I even worked there two summers in a row. Having that exposure showed me that I had a heart to serve and help others and has had a huge impact on who I am today.
I had the opportunity to attend the Grow Leadership Conference through Church of the Highlands in Birmingham Alabama over the summer. The experience, skills and training I recieved over those three days helped me discover my calling and that is serving in the local church full time.
Losing my grandfather to cancer in 2015 was tough, however, it shaped me and equipped me to help others in my life who may have suffered a loss. Just this year two friends of mine had their fathers diagnosed with cancer and they immediately turned to me for help and support. I was able to walk with them through that time and help them still praise God during one of the hardest times in their lives. Although I lost my grandfather and miss him dearly I am thankful that God allowed me to go/ grow through that so I could help others and continue to do so.
I had a bad experience with a previous employer in which they asked me to work for free 15 hours a week for free and when I said I wouldn’t be able to do it I was let go. I asked for a few days before I gave them an answer to this question and asked many friends and family members what they would do in this situation. I cam back to my employers and explained my thoughts and why I felt this was an unfair request, however, they let me go. Although this was a bad experience, it definitely taught me how to deal with confrontation and approach people. I have often looked back at that situation so I could figure out what I did wrong and how I could have handled that situation better.
Before suffering and battling depression in 2015 I never understood mental illness or felt sympathy for someone with it. Once I started to go through it myself, I developed a better understanding of depression and anxiety. In turn, this gave me more empathy for others going through the same and I am now able to help friends and family battling the disease.
