I believe every day, hour, minute that you are alive is a new opportunity. I think I am quick to forgive, and again, try to understand where people are coming from.
[H]eart
1. I love connecting with God and understanding his unique path for my life.
2. I love my family (hearing from them, spending time with them, laughing with them).
3. I love to travel and inspire people to do better and let go of their past and move toward living their best lives, using their voices for positive change.
I think I would like to work with women and youth. Young Mexican American women, maybe women from college (18-35). Youth maybe between 16-21). I enjoy working with people from immigrant backgrounds, who maybe feel a little discouraged because they question their identity and their self worth. I like to encourage them and empower them with words and activities.
How can we use what we learn to make real impact in our community. Our community is mostly hispanic, and there is a lot of need for encouragement and development.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
I grew up in the church, so I have always had a relationship with God. But my wellbeing and life perspective became very dependent on God when my dad passed away.
I served as a babysitter, and youth instructor.
1. Knowing how much my dad and mom loved and encouraged me and how they held the same expectations from my brothers and sister made a huge impact on how I treat people.
2. Traveling the world, and meeting people, volunteering, and getting to meet children who have very little- but when you offer them an ear to listen, words of encouragement,- seeing the impact it has on them and their faces really makes me happy.
3. When my prayers would come true, like getting the scholarship to come study in Costa Rica. It makes me feel like God hears my prayers and watches over me every step of the way.
1. Losing my dad too soon. It really hurt, but it also help me to understand that life is short, and put into perspective that relationship building is important. Using your voice to love others is important. And having compassion for others who are hurting is important.
2. A broken engagement. It was so painful but it helped me to learn on God and seek His direction, and trust him when he changes direction.
3. Being confused about my career and being out of work. Not knowing what I am suppose to do with my life. This period helped me to try new things, and understand that I am in the process of learning and growing everyday.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. I would do international missionary trips in Latin America with people in orphanages.
4. I would travel the world and become a minister/speaker of some sort, like Joyce Meyer, sharing my experiences and helping to encourage those in need.
5. I would create a website, youtube channel where I could connect with people from around the world and empower them.
