This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like to help others fulfill their goals by helping talk through details, organize thoughts, bring different perspectives and help carry those tasks. I also see serving as being available for “the people”. For example, being over the young adults with my husband, I serve by being available to listen to them whenever they need. I serve them by taking out extra time to reach out or no reason, by helping them feel wanted and needed cared about. That is how I serve the community I’m over.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I wouldn’t consider myself an evangelist. I guess what makes me an evangelist is I am not afraid to talk to people. I am better with one on one than i am with crowd. I do enjoy encouraging people that feel left out or overlooked.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’ve had and I still need a lot of mercy shown to me and I believe in mercy and grace. I am so far from perfect and have fallen pretty hard a few times so i never want to look down or feel judgment towards anyone.

[H]eart

1. Spending uninterrupted, time with people I love. Eating, laughing and having a good time with no agenda or plans.

2. “Singing a song like i wrote it” This expression comes from a previous ministry I was in and I was singing one night and I totally lost myself in the song and could care less who was there and a minister at the church came up to me afterwards and told me I sang the song like i wrote it and he told me I need to sing like that every time. It was a pivotal point for me in ministry because I had always been very self conscious about my singing and how I look and what people thought and that night i felt like I finally pleased God with the gift he gave me.

3. Being a part of someone else’s “come up”. I love to have helped or been apart of someone ‘s life during struggle and see them succeed.

I really enjoy working with Young Adults. I also enjoy working with Christians who have back slid and are coming back to God. I love to encourage people who feel they have done too much wrong for God to forgive them.

I want training in working more with marriages. I have a passion for marriage.
My greatest concern is the communication in leadership. It is improving, but it’s difficult sometimes and causes frustration in trying to complete tasks.
A possible area that excites me is expanding the Young Adult Ministry and having some college ministry ideas or programs. We have a lot of really talented and smart teenagers that need guidance in navigating college systems and being successful academically.

Classroom teaching – I was never credentialed but I’ve taught 3rd grade through 8th grade math, including Algebra and Geometry.

[E]xperience

I was born into Christianity. I’ve been a Christian all my life. I’ve had stages of Christianity all my life. Different levels of faith and trust. My testimony now of being a Christian is that now it is intentional. I desire to know more of God and I want to look like him. I want to personify his attributes in my daily life. I want to live if purely with everything in me. I want to be compassionate to His people. I want people to experience God’s love by knowing me.

Grew up Baptist in Phoenix, AZ at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. I was pretty much born in this church and stayed until I was 9. My love for hymns was born in this church.

Faith Tabernacle COGIC, Phoenix, AZ – At the age of 7 I began begged my mother to go to my great-aunt’s church which was COGIC. She finally allowed me to go the the church when I was 9. She had come to a concert I sang in at the church and she saw the power of God upon me and let me join. I was filled with the Holy Ghost at 12 in this church and this was the first place I fell in love with God.

My love for hymns and learning God’s word through music. It has kept me all my life in my lowest, darkest times.

Being filled with the Holy Ghost at an early age and really having a passion for God. I grew up with a lot of youth at Faith Tabernacle and our pastor loved us and was very serious about teaching us to be separate from sin. He and his wife really taught us holiness in a loving and non-judgmental way which was different than most COGIC churches at that time

Going the multi-racial church and really learning how to worship God. I was a praiser, but got to know God more intimately in worship.

Losing my father at 8 year old to the life of drugs and prison. For a long time it left me lost and with low self esteem. I grew from the situation and have a great passion for women / girls with low self esteem and for fatherless daughters.

Being bullied by church leaders to make you “perform” for them but put it under the name of god and condemn you for not wanting to do it or for saying no.
