S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Scott Schoolcraft for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. [H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Helping somebody learn to do something for the first time and watching their joy.

2. Being able to bless someone with money they thought they would not have.

3. Sharing life experiences with others.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

fellow believers – I enjoy serving and learning with those older, helping or assisting with those in the same age range, and mentoring or sharing experiences with those in or just out of college.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I get concerned when churches don’t teach the Bible. We are all God’s children, every tribe, tongue, nation – so we should all be welcomed and loved the same.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I started attending church regularly in high school – and always considered myself a believer in God. I would proclaim that I was a Christian from early on, but I guess I actually accepted Christ in college.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Park West Church of God in Knoxville, TN – Usher, Care Group Leader, Director of Care Groups

Victorious Life Church Conyers, GA – Sunday School teacher, Church Council Member

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Marrying my wife – she is by far the best thing in my life outside of Christ

becoming a father – my perspective and outlook has changed for sure

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

coming from a divorced family

growing up with limited financial means
