Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I was raised in a Christian household and attended church with my parents, my father was a minister, my mother later went to theology school and became an evangelist. My parents reared me in the direction to follow God but His heart for me and His grace let me know there was no other way to follow.
Life Giving Word Burlington, NJ : Dance Ministry : 4 years
Christian Deliverance Ministries Wrightstown, NJ : Dance Ministry : 2 years
The birth of my younger sister helped me become the nurturer I am today. We are 11.5 years apart in age. I helped raise her in ways that a parent would. I love her beyond any words.
My attending and graduating from the 1st historically black university, Lincoln University, PA. My undergraduate experience at Lincoln taught me that I have come from an earthly lineage that is incomparable to any other, that brown and black people were not oppressed for being “less than” we were oppressed because we were/are more than our oppressors will ever be.
Moving from New Jersey to Maryland on my own was positive for me as it showed me that God has instilled determination in me and removed doubt and fear in such a way that I would not have experienced if I stayed in New Jersey.
My divorce was a negative experience that helped shape me as I was able to join a DivorceCare group and be connected with people that shared similar experiences. I was able to minister to a former co-worker that was on the brink of divorce.
Working with a manager who’s personality is very strong has helped me grow stronger, it has pushed my limits and taught me things I did not know about myself.
Being a product of divorce was a negative experience because it taught me to lean and depend on God, when your parents are all you know and they are not staying together you learn early on that God is your source, not your parents. I am able to speak to children who’s parents may be experiencing difficulty and help them learn to pray and remind them that none of the issues are their fault.
