S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Amanda Wilson for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Serving (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have always been the “mother figure”. The one who sacrifices what she wants to make sure that others have what they want. I’m the first one up in the morning and the last one to bed at night, making sure everyone has been fed, bathed, and teeth brushed before I get myself ready.

#2 Gift, Mercy Showing (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
As a nurse, it is my duty to show kindness and compassion to my patients, whether they are there willingly or not. I don’t think about whether or not someone “deserves” compassion, because I believe everyone deserves to be treated equally, with the same amount of respect and decency.

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I would much rather sit in the background and cheer on someone else than be in the spotlight myself.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Relaxing and spending quality time with my family. Just playing outside, or playing board games.

2. Fitness and nutrition. Both helping people and myself find workout programs and meal prepping plans to keep/get healthy.

3. crafts, woodworking. I like building new things, or refurbishing old things to make them look new again.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I enjoy working with people who are around my age range. From 20’s through 40-50s. I feel like I can relate to them, and have the most life experience to give them helpful hints.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

marriage/relationships/divorce
healthy family (both fitness and relationships)
busy, overwhelmed mothers trying to be present

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in a luke-warm Christian family. We didn’t go to church regularly, but I went to vacation bible school every summer. From the age of 16-24 I didn’t really think much about my beliefs, just lived life for myself. From 24-30 I did a lot of rebelling, and then, around 30 I decided I had enough of that lifestyle, and (for whatever reason, I’m not sure) I went to church. I’ve gone to church ever since then, however I have been luke-warm also. I go through phases where I want to be all in, but, as silly as it sounds, life gets in the way and I end up luke-warm again.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

NewSong Community Church, Tecumseh, MI, nursery staff, sunday school staff, hospitality staff (bringing in breakfast, greeting, etc). from 2011-2015

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Getting my Bachelors degree in Nursing

Having my children.

Getting married.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Miscarriage

divorce

drug/alcohol abuse

Wrapping It Up

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Volunteering at CPC, or Gods Bread Basket

4. Go on another mission trip

5. Help pay for someone who couldn’t afford it to go to college
