S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Susanna Etzel for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am comfortable speaking in front of people. I like making connections between the truth of Scripture and (seemingly) unrelated or secular ideas. I like taking confusing or difficult ideas and clarifying them for myself and others. (Does the prompt mean “I believe I was given these gifts in order to use them in the following ways” or “The following evidence shows me that I have these gifts”??)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I don’t know! I have not thought of myself in this way at all. Concern over the future has so little bearing on our daily call to obedience that I don’t think about it much – or at least that’s what I have believed to this point.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Although I am completely comfortable speaking in front of others, I also like organizing or setting up events and functions. I would rather be a committee member than the leader – assuming that the leader actually leads.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I grew up in a church-going home, so I learned faithful church attendance, participation, and a lot of hymns. I accepted Christ in 8th grade, but it was not until college campus ministry that I began to grow and learned to study the Bible intentionally. I decided to be baptized as an adult while in graduate school. The Lord has further used my marriage and children sharpening tools.
Grace Baptist Cedarville; Cedarville, OH – occasional pianist for worship services and hymn sings. About 5 years.

Seeing the Lord work out funding for my graduate education.
Being active with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in college and the Wesley Foundation in graduate school.
Growing up with an emotionally absent and chronically angry father.
Learning of and working through trust/pornography issues in marriage.
Watching and experiencing betrayal and spiritual abuse in a Christian workplace.
