Thank you Susan Dixon for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. I volunteer time for children’s ministry, music ministry, outreach events, fellowship planning, and I’m happy to share my income with the church through regular offerings and additional supplements to the church budget.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (62%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I remember we’re all sinners and all fall short and that I’ve been given much. I’m able to forgive those who have hurt me and try to see their points of few, and I pray for the ability to love those who will not love in return. I enjoy helping those who are sick, shut in, and just need a friend or someone to talk to.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

Brought up in church but seeing God answer prayer and reading His Word put a fire in me

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

The witness of my best friend’s mom growing up

Having others pray for me

Being welcomed to serve in a church

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being in a church where there was a division over silly issues

Being caught in gossip and ruining but then restoring friendships

Being in a church where I didn’t feel welcomed by the pastor but stayed because I felt God led me there

Wrapping It Up

  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. To learn to play the organ in addition to the piano so I can assist the organist

4. To reach out to families and children to encourage and strengthen their faith and make our church a place they desire to come to for worship

5. To build more connectedness within our church walls as well as reaching out to the community
