This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love the Word of God and it is a great treasure in my life. Reading God’s Word and meditating on Scripture has enabled me to grow in Christ and to really understand who God is, what He has for me, and how much He loves me. I have a passion for helping other Christians discover God’s truths and foster a passion for His word.

I believe the currency of heaven is souls and those that are suffering are near to God’s heart. It is a privilege to be able to connect with the brokenhearted and to uplift them in God’s love.

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe that everyone matters and everyone should have a cheer leader in their corner. You never know what someone is going through sometimes. The Bible tells us that a kind word can cheer up an anxious heart (Proverbs 12:25). I want to be that person that speaks life, purpose, and faith in someone’s life and to encourage them to hold on to Jesus no matter what and to be the voice that reminds them to keep walking in faith because God is faithful and that He is with them and that He is for them.

I’m a final year medical student.

I’ve have the great privilege to participate on several medical brigades to Haiti, DR, Honduras, and Guatemala. I’ve also volunteered with at risk populations (ostracized AIDs patients and sex-workers) in my home country, the Bahamas.

[E]xperience

I grew up in a Christian home as my father is a minister as well as some of my close relatives. So church was something I used to but I never had a relationship with Jesus for myself until I was t 14 when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour .

Hillsong NYC – 1 year, volunteered as an usher while I lived in NYC

The opportunity to travel and the exposure I’ve received from working in very poor communities.

Having a supportive community to continually push me and never agree with me to quit

Growing up in a Christian family and having parents who love Jesus

My brain injury at the age of 21. I was told my doctors that I would never be able to learn again as my memory was greatly affected. This was a very challenging period for me as I had only 1 year left of university. God in His faithfulness, healed me 2 years later and I have no residual effects from my injury.

Being made fun of because of my faith and my decision to follow Christ, or being misunderstood because of it. I’m learning that people will never understand why you follow Jesus but its a wonderful opportunity to be a light in their life.
