S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Tamara Basile for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I like organizing and being in charge. I like leading, but I’m also very good at being part of a team.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love giving of myself, my time, my money (if I have it). I’ve spent the majority of my life giving and doing for others. I don’t think I would be great at evangelizing to people in prison or something like that, but I do love speaking to large groups and sharing my testimony
[H]eart
1. Raising my children and fighting for those who can’t. I love going to Cleveland and working with the children.
2. Being creative and sharing that with others. Like crafting, decorating, organizing get togethers, cooking for large crowds.
3. Working in my yard. Creating a space for comfort and a quiet place
Hmmmmmm….I really think I enjoy all ages. I love children, the young and teens. I enjoy working with people my age and I enjoy being around the elderly. They have so much to share.
Serving excites me. I’m OK with whatever that is except I don’t think I would do well at all with a prison ministry. I like being involved in planning, organizing, speaking, anything that has to do with the women or children

[A]bilities
I am a stay at home mom. Although, I’d love to have a job outside of the home. But I need something that is flexible with my children.
Management, inventory. I used to manage a convenient store. I’ve also been in inventory control for Patio Enclosure. Purchasing and inventory.
And, I’ve spent over 10 years being a foster mom. I think that has been the most important job I’ve had
Organizing, Creating, decorating, cooking
I’ve spoken on Foster care. I’ve also spoken a few times at women’s events. I used to do volunteer work with Living Hope Ministry out of Haiti. My job was to speak at churches to help get people to support the children in Haiti.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
My life was on a path of self destruction. I had been married and divorced. I met my husband, whom I’m married to now. We’ve been married for 36 years. He was a believer when we met, I was not. There was something about him that attracted me to him. (I had sworn off all men at this point in my life). Anyway, we met around Memorial Day. I will make a long story short. I moved in with him after only knowing him for 2 weeks. He was dragging me to church, bible studies, Christian rallies, etc. When I was at church or bible study, I liked what I was hearing, but when I was alone, God’s word was like a foreign language. I couldn’t make heads or tail out of any of it. It made no sense to me. Then one day I was cleaning the house, Bob (my husband) (well, we weren’t married yet), was working outside putting gutters on the garage. I looked at the bible that was sitting on the coffee table in the living room and I was frustrated because I couldn’t read and understand it. So, I picked it up, and called out to God. I said “I’ve been going to bible studies, I’ve been going to church, I’m learning about you, but I can’t understand your word. This book makes no sense to me at all. If you really are God and everything they say you are, then make it so I can understand.” I opened the bible and it was if God’s word lept off the page! I was NEVER so excited about anything in my life as I was at that moment. It was the most wonderful thing I had ever read! I went running outside with the bible and ran to the garage. Bob was up on a ladder and I was yelling at him! “Come down here! Listen to this! This is amazing!!, your are not going to believe this!” I started reading to him. He started laughing, saying that’s what I’ve been telling you. Oh no!! That’s NOT what he’d been telling me. I was so excited. I wanted him to come shout this to the world! When I opened that bible and it made sence, it was then and there that I truly believed. The scales had fallen off my eyes and my heart was given to Jesus. I was ALL IN! Jesus became the Lord and Savior of my life. I was forever changed! That was 36 years ago. My heart and soul belonged to Jesus. I’ve never doubted that sence. I can’t imagine living my life without Him. I LOVE. MY. LORD!!!
Riverwood Community Church – Kent, Ohio served in the nursery till Jacob was 2. Then served in the 2yr old class til we moved to Lewis Center.
I also served on the women’should ministry team. I helped plan events and retreats. I did that for 3 years. During that time, I lead a women’s bible study for 2years. It was the most amazing group of women. The youngest was single and in her 20’s and the oldest was 73, (the pastor’s mother-n-law) I loved that group of women. It was hard to say good bye when we moved. During our time there, I was also the editor and co-producer of the monthly newsletter that I organized and started. I wrote articles, and interviewed others for publication. It was fun! We were members of that church for 6 years. It was hard to leave, but God was calling us to Columbus.
Christ the King church – served as the state side person who helped get sponsors for children in Haiti through Living Hope Ministries. I did this for a year and half, then we moved to The Vineyard. During those years I served in the children’s ministry. I served in the 2yr old class and then the 3-4 yr old class. I served there in that capacity for 7 years
We started coming to Gracepoint Community Church when Jacob was in 8th grade. That was in 2007. I served in the 2-3 year old class for a couple of years then moved up to 3rd grade when Donna Klabundee started leading Kids Quest. I did that for a couple of years. I served as the women’s leader for 3 years. I’ve been involved with VBS, and was in charge of decorating the year with the jungle theme and also last year. I will also be in charge of the decorating for VBS this year. I did the preschool class for VBS for 4 years. I worked in the kitchen for VBS also. I’ve been on the Cleveland mission trip 4 years. Two years in charge of crafts, 2 years in charge of planning meals and cooking for the mission team. I also spent several years year with Epic Student Ministry, volunteering at church on Sundays and co-lead a middle school girls group for a year, then lead that group through high school. So in all 5 years.
/ and chaperone for The Chill.
Getting married, the second time. Lol I’ve been married for almost 37 years. Been through many ups and downs. Prosperous years and lean ones. Can’t imagine not spending the rest of my days without my husband by my side. He’s been there through my best and worst times.
Adopting our son, Jacob. What a gift and blessing from God
Saying yes Lord and becoming a foster mom for 10 years. Fighting for children has and still is a huge part of my life. God has stretched me in ways I didn’t know was possible. He’s still stretching me. It’s been hard and a blessing. Along side my husband, I’m still fighting for children. God started me down this path 18 years ago, and I’m still on this path.
Years of addiction. I was on a road of self destruction. I spent years going down the wrong path til I ended up in the hospital and I was given 3 days to live.
Years of infertility and not being able to carry a pregnancy. But God has healed me from all those years of heartache and has blessed me with many children in my life. We fostered 42 children and adopted 4. Plus, God has blessed me with a beautiful daughter-n-law. (She used to be in my group of girls I mentored) Who could want for more?
Being sick. Four years ago I was dying. I had an unknown bacterial infection in my lungs. I spent weeks in the hospital. I went cardiac arrest twice. They really didn’t think I was going to live. But here I am ! Praise God.
