[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love being apart of groups helping others

2. I love making others feel valued and loved

3. I love making new friends and building friendships that are centered around God.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with my husband in couples ministry. I love helping others know they have a covenant with not only with their spouse but with God.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I would like to see the church focus on marriage strength and stability. I feel there is a need to have marriage building studies, retreats, and workshops to build a core group of laity that could be mentors for young couples but also for couples who might be struggling. If there is not already, to have a resource for those couples that need counseling that goes beyond the churches pastoral staff that need professional counselling.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I went on a women’s Christian retreat for a weekend and was told about how to have a personal relationship with Jesus. I had never heard this concept before. I knew I wanted to know who this Jesus was that I kept hearing about all weekend.

Marriage

Being a mother to 4 boys

Taking an Emmaus Walk

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Growing up in a home where I felt like I was never enough and not much encouragement or compassion.

Getting married at the age of 19 and divorced at age 23 from a very dysfunctional and abusive man.

Having a child with a chronic disease has taught me to rely on God and my faith in his faithfulness that is filled with hope. God has given me strength beyond anything I could imagine.
