S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Jenna Taylor for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. [H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Music

Music fills my soul and helps me work through issues. It provides a comfort to me, as it did as a child in my room. I find peace and comfort in music. (Which is why I named my daughter what i did)

2. Dancing
Movement, expressing myself through movement. Anxiety and depression are released with me through movement of my body.

3. Nature

Hiking, walking, trees, water…. anything I can surround myself in.
People, society, to me have become harsh and angry. I prefer the woods. I feel safe there.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Elderly.
They have wisdom to share and usually have no ill motives besides company. I lack any elder role model in my life and I dearly miss my grandparents who all passed when I was young.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I beleive guiding youth is important. I didnt have that option growing up. Perhaps my path would have been different if I had.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

A friend invited me and I didnt think I could feel any worse than I did. So i went.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Adopting my kids

Leaving my marriage

Much volunteering .. shows me I need to “help” others. My calling.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Many past abusive relationships.. in all forms… (substance abuse, physical, sexual, financial, legal, emotional, spiritual, mental)

Infertility and adoption.
Until you have walked those paths, you have no idea the pain a woman endures trying to do the very thing God made a woman for.

Losing employment to care for my kids.
Has happened more than once over the years and I accept it, but it still is very stressful (money to provide)

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Build a school. Build a community that teaches what the school board doesnt.

4. Start a new life in a new place where no one knows me

5. Have enough money and time to do a missionary trip to another part of the world.
