S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Tenitra “Nikki” Smith for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Teaching (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have always enjoyed training and coaching new employees at work. I am good with helping people to understand things using different terminology and metaphors.

#2 Gift, Giving (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am 100% committed to tithing and offering. It’s a non-negotiable for me. I believe that tithing is just like my electricity bill: if I don’t pay it, then I get cut off, and I certainly don’t want God to cut me off!

#3 Gift, Evangelism (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy talking about the things that I read in the Bible and learn at church. I have even driven to the homes of my friends just to share the word. One of my friends stated that she likes to talk to me when she wants to know “what would Jesus do.” I share the word with my brother who is incarcerated, and I know it helps him in that difficult situation. I share my faith at work, on outings with friends, anywhere. God puts me in situations, right place right time situations, where I can share an on-time word with people.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Spend time with loved ones

2. Work (I’m a nurse, and I enjoy caring for my patients)

3. Traveling and trying new things

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with people who enjoy their jobs, regardless of salary or compensation. I love people who are passionate, flexible, and open-minded. I focus more on mental age than chronological age, so I definitely like to work with mature individuals.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I like to look at ways that money can be saved, expenses can be cut, etc. I like to maximize the minimum. One thing that I always say to people is that it’s not that we need to make more money; we just need to better manage the money that we have. I believe that tithes and offerings put money in the church’s pocket. I enjoy looking for ways to make sure that there are no holes in the pocket, so to speak.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I’ve been through some very trying times in my life, and I repressed those issues for many years. As the years went by, each challenge left me feeling lonelier and more depressed than the previous. It was during one particular tribulation that I realized when all you have left is God, you realize that God is all you need.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

No ministry experience

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I graduated from college twice, including completing an accelerated nursing program.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being involved in the wrong relationships helped me to understand myself more. I realized that I kept finding myself in these situations because I have low self-esteem, as do most of the women in my family. I am determined to break this generational curse with my nieces.

Growing up in an abusive environment.

Spending my childhood and many years of my adult life in poverty/financial hardship

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. I would witness to young girls and women, teaching them the importance of knowing their self-worth. I would hold some type of women’s empowerment conference.

4. Reduce crime, especially gun violence and violence against women and children

5. Teach people how to live healthy, and with a focus on mental, spiritual, and physical health
