S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Tracey Hall for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
My heart breaks for the injustice some have to endure. I currently volunteer at a school for ex-trafficked girls. I have a hard time with the “judgemental” reputation the church currently has & I go out of my way to show others Christ’s love.

#3 Gift, Giving (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I find it difficult to learn of a specific need & not do all I can to help. God has been so gracious to me. I feel like He has given so I must give.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Being part of a cause to help those in need. Sharing what we’ve been given where it’s needed.

2. Talking about the truth and grace found in Scripture with other believers. Sharing the good news with those “neighbors” God brings across my path. Studying scripture to know God’s heart.

3. Being part of helping someone through a difficult time. Pointing them to our loving God.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I enjoy very much young adults, newly married. I also enjoy spending time with the elderly.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Marriage ministry: Pre-marriage classes/counseling, Marriage retreats, visiting those in nursing homes/home bound.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in a loving Christian home but did not have a personal relationship with Jesus until I realized my need for Christ at a bible camp when I was 10 years old. When I got home from that camp, I kneeled down beside my bed & gave my heart & life to Jesus – believing that He is God’s son and that He died to pay for my sins & God raised Him from the dead. I was baptized that same year.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Bachelors Degree in Bible & English from Pillsbury Bible College, Owatonna, MN

Youth, Young Adults, church decorating, choir, teaching in women’s ministry over 16 years at Fox Valley Bible Church, St. Charles, IL

Part of team teaching Pre-Marriage classes at Highpoint Bible Chapel in Naperville, IL for 11 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Raising three kids who, by God’s grace, all love & serve Him today. All He taught me through those child-raising years. My husband loves me well & challenges me to Godly attitudes & behaviors.

Being raised by loving & giving parents who always shared our home with the less fortunate. I was modeled how to serve in practical ways.

Serving Him in various ways through my life has kept me depending on His strength & His word. He has graciously grown me through this process.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Unbelieving siblings & the lives they live because of the choices they have made gives me great compassion for them. Makes me want to fight against the judgement I see they receive from other believers.

Church imploded after 16 years. Many painful relational experiences happened. My faith wavered but God was faithful to pursue me with truth and with dear friends to point me to His heart. He used this experience to expand my view of who He is.

I have gotten to know the heinous injustice of human trafficking because I believe God laid it on my heart. I have a “can’t stands it no more” passion for doing what I’m able to help in this cause.

  • Everyone Else After those

3. Helping new marriages have the foundation they need to reflect Christ’s love for the church.

4. Helping marriages in crisis.

5. Ministry to rescue trafficked people.
